Gym Skills
The Pandatime Gym Skills program is an integral part of the program. Children in the 10.20 and 11.15 classes will receive instruction in a new gym skill each week. Examples of ‘gym skills’ taught throughout the year would be:
- Somersault down a foam wedge
- Land successfully from a box
- Straight bunnyhop/ side-to-side bunnyhop
- Jump on mini-tramp - land on mat
- Quarter-turn rotation on trampoline
- Walk along beam/stop/turn sideways/ walk along rest of beam
- ‘Possum hang’ from single bar
- Bear walk along parallel bars
