Gym Skills

The Pandatime Gym Skills program is an integral part of the program. Children in the 10.20 and 11.15 classes will receive instruction in a new gym skill each week. Examples of ‘gym skills’ taught throughout the year would be:

  • Somersault down a foam wedge
  • Land successfully from a box
  • Straight bunnyhop/ side-to-side bunnyhop
  • Jump on mini-tramp - land on mat
  • Quarter-turn rotation on trampoline
  • Walk along beam/stop/turn sideways/ walk along rest of beam
  • ‘Possum hang’ from single bar
  • Bear walk along parallel bars
